Our Story
Make Ready came from the simple realization that we are often unprepared for life’s challenges. By ‘we’ I mean my family and countless other people pretty much everywhere in the US. This realization hit home for us as a family in 2021. We live in central Texas and were among the tens of thousands of people who lost water and power during snow-vid, the great ice storm of 2021. We had to fill our bathtub with snow so we could have water to flush the toilet and drink (Thank God for our Berkey water filter!). We couldn’t find gas, the roads were icy, and we were lucky that there was a grocery store a mile away from our house. My daughters and I walked there in single digit, freezing temperatures to wait for a couple of hours to get into the store and buy just enough basics to get by, the idea being that we needed to ration and not horde.

Make Ready intends to solve the problem of general readiness to the greatest extent possible and do it in a manner that anyone can replicate. We seek simple, cost effective, elegant solutions to basic readiness problems, testing them ourselves and sharing them with you for feedback. Readiness isn’t a solo effort; it is a community of people working together to help each other. We might not live next door but we can still share ideas and help each other Make Ready for whatever God sends our way.

Chief Learning Officer
Dr. Kristina Noriega blends her extensive academic background with a deep appreciation for nature and hands-on practical knowledge. Holding an EdD in Educational Psychology and a Master's in Counseling Psychology, she has over 20 years of experience in K-12 and adult learning. Dr. Noriega is not only an expert in resilience but also a passionate advocate for self-sufficiency. Her expertise includes quail and goat raising, hydroponics, and a profound connection to nature. At Make Ready Performance, she equips individuals with the psychological tools and practical skills needed to navigate life's challenges and uncertainties with confidence and preparedness.
Devin Artis
Sales Executive Director
Devin Artis is a Texas A&M graduate with a strong background in process improvement, logistics, and client relations. Known for his organizational skills and focus on accuracy, Devin excels in optimizing processes to enhance profitability. His determination for excellence enables him to perform efficiently in high-pressure, high-volume environments, always maintaining a positive attitude. An avid golfer, Devin also serves as the executive director for Make Ready, where his leadership shines.
